WHO IS THIS FOR?

This workshop is ideal for those who already have a basic understanding of Shibari (such as basic ties). It’s perfect for practitioners who are ready to expand their skills and dive deeper into shibari as well as the intimacy and emotional aspects of the practice. If you're completely new to Shibari but still want to join, we will provide resources to help you prepare in advance.

You can attend with a partner or come solo—this immersive experience is designed to create deep, meaningful connections regardless of your relationship status.

We will provide ropes, and a supportive environment for growth and exploration.

WHAT YOU’LL EXPERIENCE:

Shibari as Sacred Ritual – Explore the deeper layers of energy work, breath, and meditation through the ropes, enhancing both personal connection and creative expression.

Shibari Techniques – Learn refined ties, beautiful knots, and dynamic body positions including Futomomo, Tekate Kote, Ebi Shibari, and more.

Japanese Classics and Vulnerability – Dive into the subtleties of haji (shame) and hazukashi (embarrassment), and learn how to navigate these emotions within the rope experience.

Trauma-informed Practices – Cultivate a safe and supportive container that honors each person’s journey.

Positions for Every Purpose – Learn how to use rope to enhance meditation, provoke playful energy, and ignite passion for deeper intimacy and connection.

Somatic Awareness and Movement – Incorporating contact improvisation, qigong, and aikido-inspired techniques to help move and manipulate the body with ease and care.

NLP and Hypnosis – Learn how to use neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) and hypnotic techniques during rope play to deepen trust, shift emotional states, and enhance the power dynamics within the scene.

Energy & Connection – Learn to attune your energy with your partner and the ropes, creating a profound sense of intimacy and presence.

Personal Growth and Self-Discovery – Develop confidence, enhance communication, and explore your body’s language in a safe, nurturing space.

You’ll also explore the psychological impact of rope positions—how specific forms influence states of control, surrender, and role reversal—and how to consciously work with these dynamics to deepen presence and intimacy. Additionally, we’ll dive into the hormonal alchemy of Shibari: understanding how neurotransmitters like oxytocin, cortisol, adrenaline, and dopamine shape the nervous system during rope play, and how to skillfully engage with them for healing and connection.
